The infant and early childhood mental health field is cross disciplinary, encompassing various sectors and services such as promotion, prevention, intervention, and leadership. Professionals working with or on behalf of pregnant individuals, infants, toddlers, young children, and their families to foster healthy social-emotional development within a culturally sensitive, relationship-focused framework are represented in the categories of the Infant Mental Health Endorsement® (IMH-E®) and Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement (ECMH-E®).
Refer to the buttons below to identify the category that best matches your knowledge, skills, and expertise. Consider the scope of practice that aligns most closely with your professional experience in the infant and early childhood mental health field.
Endorsement if for every Infant and Early Childhood Professional. The different types of Endorsement® are not hierarchical. Endorsements® are designed to recognize various skills, knowledge, training, and scopes of work, rather than being hierarchical. For instance, the work of someone focused on policy and advocacy differs from that of a home visitor working within the dyad. To find the most suitable Endorsement® pathway for your experiences and scope of work, refer to the flow chart provided.
